In 2013 Our Lead Astronomer Gary headed off to the Atacama desert to film a documentary that highlights the importance of preserving Dark Skies.
Little did the film crew know, but some years later it would scoop a whole host of awards.
Tonight Gary will host a private screening of the documentary. He visits some of the world’s largest and most advanced observatories and takes in the sights and sounds of South America. It’s a whistle-stop trip where he meets some of the world’s leading scientists and hears stories and highlights and has a few of his own too!
Don’t miss this wonderful award-winning documentary.
Once finished we head out to the telescopes to observe the beautiful summer skies
