This Christmas, escape the hustle and bustle and experience the magic of the winter night sky at Grassholme Observatory.
Wrapped in the peace and tranquillity of the teesdale countryside, join us for a festive evening of astronomy as we journey through the wonders of the Universe. Discover sparkling winter constellations, explore distant galaxies and nebulae, and, weather permitting, observe breathtaking celestial objects through our powerful telescopes.
Inside our immersive classroom, you’ll travel across the cosmos as we reveal the stories behind the stars and uncover the secrets of our remarkable Universe. You’ll also have the opportunity to handle genuine meteorites, visit our fascinating Observatory, and relax with festive refreshments in our warm Lounge.
